A downloadable game for Windows

Push Push Push (Demo) (name is subject to change)

Enemies are encroaching pushing a deadly barrier. Destroy cells, get beaten, buy upgrade, become stronger and try again.

This is my first game that I actually plan to release some time. Since feedback from friends is good but limited, I now need more honest feedback from strangers who share the same passion for games.

Future plans also include an endless mode which shows up as a separate upgrade tree after finishing the main one in which upgrades can be leveled up endlessly.

Gameplay mechanics and the upgrade tree might be changed in the future.

Please let me know if you see or feel something that could increase the fun in this game. I am open to new ideas :)

This was pretty cool! My only gripe is that there seems to be nothing I can do with the Infused Pixels. I unlocked them, even crafted 5 of them, but there's nothing to use them on so I just got scammed.

Thank you very much. It seems that I let the demo end too early. I will include one or two upgrades for infused pixels in the next update :)
Edit: I also have just noticed that there is an error in the upgrade tree. There should be upgrades marked with a "not in the demo"-tag but there aren't

Another edit: Version 0.0.7 is out now with more upgrades

Ok, so I checked out the new version you uploaded. When I'd commented before, I was hoping the infused pixels would have some power behind them that wasn't super far off. I think there's a pretty big issue with whatever is happening to enemy hp numbers going into level 10.

Even with every upgrade available (except the infused ones), it feels like the scaling just crushes you barely 5 waves in. Now, I'm not new to incremental games, but needing to farm previous levels less than 5 times maybe to get enough power to proceed felt like the right amount of repetition. I think I've played level 10 for 6 hours or so, now, and I'm no closer to beating it than when I unlocked it.

Thank you very much for the feedback. Since the other upgrades will be in the full version of the game it is normal that you get stuck in Level 10. Maybe an ingame text message for that could be sufficient when reaching Level 10. Nevertheless, your recommendation of playing a level 5 times at maximum really gives me a good baseline, thank you :). Until now I only balanced the game by just playing and getting a feeling for that. I will work on that :D

Of course! Now, I'm not gonna claim to be some expert, and that "5 times max" thing probably has a lot more wiggle room depending on the player. Mostly, I felt like I'd only had to play any of the levels of 1-9 about five or less times to get enough upgrades to beat it, and that felt like an amount that was acceptable to me and didn't make me feel like I was "grinding."
